Helps pregnant women access early, ongoing prenatal care and social/support services. Assists parenting families with babies age 0-2 stay connected to a medical home and monitor infant development.

Early Head Start • (575) 532-0515
A federally funded community-based program for low-income families with infants, toddlers, and pregnant women. Its purpose is to enhance children's physical, social-emotional, language and intellectual development; to assist parents in fulfilling their parental roles; and to help parents move toward self sufficiency. LCDF-EHS also provides services to infants/ toddlers with disabilities. To qualify you must reside within Las Cruces city limits and meet the income guidelines.
LCDF-EHS services are provided both in a classroom setting (Center-Based Services) and through regularly scheduled visits with the child and his/her parents in the home (Home-Based Services). Services to Expectant Moms are provided through regularly scheduled visits in the home or offices.
