Christina Avila, MD is a staff physician at our Sunland Park location. Dr. Avila is Board Certified in Family Medicine. Dr. Avila received her undergraduate degree from University of Notre Dame. She received her Doctorate of Medicine and completed her Family Medicine Residency at UT Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Texas.

Eva Aguilar is a native of the Las Cruces area, raised in Stahmann Farms/Sari Miguel & Las Cruces. She brings over 40 years of nursing experience having completed her LPN at 19 years old at Dona Ana Branch Community College and an Associate in Nursing at 21 from NMSU. After completing her Bachelors in Nursing from Grand Canyon College/University, she joined the Navy Nurse Corps and was stationed at National Naval Medical Center/Bethesda. She was deployed on the hospital ship, USNS Comfort during the Persian Gulf War. After returning to Las Cruces, she completed her Master’s in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner at University of Texas-El Paso. Her experiences include medical¬surgical, telemetry, ER, & labor & delivery as a nurse with nurse practitioner experience in allergy/asthma, methadone clinics, urgent & primary care. She was one of many nurse practitioners that worked in the school based health centers at Las Cruces High, Gadsden, &: Chaparral High school when they were first opened. She taught nursing at NMSU for ten years & was awarded the Rousch award for excellence in teaching in 2006.

Chelcie Kaluzny is a clinical expert who implements a holistic approach while serving the community at our Sunland Park location with the goal to provide access to care for every individual who walks through our doors. She completed her graduate program, graduating with honors from Georgetown University in 2018 and currently holds a master’s degree in nursing. In 2012 she graduated from Columbus State University where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in nursing. While working toward her undergraduate degree, Chelcie served 6 years on active duty in the United States Army, one of those years were spent deployed overseas to Afghanistan during the Operation Enduring Freedom missions. It was during this time that Chelcie realized her passion for the medical field and the joy that came with the privilege in caring for others. Chelcie is a licensed Certified Family Nurse Practitioner recognized by the National board of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Her specialty is family, with the intent to provide quality & comprehensive healthcare for every individual through all stages of life. “It is an honor and infinite privilege to meet and provide high quality healthcare to the men, women and children in my community.”
